15: Matthew Warren – Producer/Director

GUEST: Matthew Warren

IZ7C8732-fixedMatt grew up on the Sony, Culver and Warner Bros. studio lots where he interned, PA’d and eventually studied under Director, Rich Correll. During that time he wrote, produced, and directed several award-winning short films while attending Biola University. He got into the DGA at the age of 22. One of his short films “The Boys” was internationally distributed and won Best Youth Film and Best Evangelical Film of the Year at ICVM.

Matt worked on “ER” during its fifth season and co-produced and directed “The KREW,” a children’s video starring Candace Cameron Bure. In 2006, Matt co-produced “Stop & Think with Francis Chan” which has been distributed in more than 30 countries worldwide and translated into six languages including Farsi (it was even viewed by an astronaut in space!). He also directed more than twenty episodes of the two-time Emmy-nominated lifestyle series “How Do I Look?” for Style Network.

Matt is the co-founder of Radar Creative, an award-winning media firm with offices in Burbank, California. As a writer-producer-director, Matt oversees a team of artists who work together to create custom content for live events and the web. He’s recently worked on high-profile events for Sonic, Petco, Jaguar Land Rover, DIRECTV, Skip1.org, Ubisoft, Disney Interactive, and Toyota. Radar is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year (2004-2014).

PAST FAILURE:

Not being able to handle rejection better. Wishes he would have pushed harder to sell his TV series.

BEST ADVICE:

Even though it’s not going to be easy… Never give up!
